Sideboard with initials of names

Art. 13-1571

Length: 148 cm

Depth: 48 cm

Height: 107 cm

Notched sideboard, consisting of four drawers and two doors, represents typical furniture in use in the province of Treviso in the late 18th century.

This original artifact from that period has two central doors and two faux fixed doors at the sides, slightly convex, garnished on the front by polygonal tile with applied frames and rhomboidal ashlar in the middle.

The peculiarity of this sideboard is the presence of the initials of the owners’ names, inlaid on the two central drawers and enclosed by an inlaid perimeter fillet beveled at the corners.

The structure in solid chestnut wood has been restored in the required points, maintaining as much as possible the original color of the piece.

The sideboard is ready for its reuse.
