Dresser in Chippendale style

Art. 10-1235

Length: 96cm

Depth: 53 cm

Height: 84 cm

This Chippendale-style chest of drawers is constructed in solid wood and features five drawers in different sizes.

The central drawer is the largest and features a carved seashell finished in gold leaf.

The Chippendale style bears the name of its creator and dates back to 18th-century England, becoming famous worldwide.

One of its main characteristics is the «claw and ball» leg, resembling the paw of an animal clasping a ball in its claws.

This well-known characteristic can be found in the legs of our chest of drawers, which is also decorated with carvings.

The handles used to open the drawers were selected especially for our collection of antique handles, recreated with the traditional technique known as earth smelting.

The finish is dark and layered, lending a modern air to this piece of furniture with classic lines.
