Empire style sideboard

Art. 13-1671

Length: 308 cm

Depth: 62 cm

Height: 101 cm

Sideboard created from the transformation of an old apothecary counter from 1820.

The style of the sideboard is an Empire, characterized by the presence of half columns applied to the four shoulders that divide the three pairs of doors.

Since it was a center counter, the transformation made involved opening the part that was exposed to the public into six doors and three drawers, while the part where the doctor operated was closed with wood.

The sideboard, made of solid Italian walnut wood, is not decomposable.

The length of the top certifies the excellent quality of the wood used: the wooden board in its length is a single piece and evidences the secularity of the tree.

Still visible on the left side are the branded initials of the name of the pharmacist who owned the ancient counter.

This creation has resulted in a unique sideboard still imbued with the life story of the former owners of the old pharmacy.
